Guess who's back...

...tell a friend...

Poppy's back!

It's good to be home with Kathy and tyson! Yahoo! Yay for 60 degree weather!

Oklahoma had one stinker of an ice storm just before I arrived, and it was winding up for another storm as I left. 3 rebooked flights in one day, and I was home before midnight on Janurary 20.

Mom's knee surgery went well, and she is currently undergoing physical therapy in Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Surgery is never fun!

Luckily, I had some support while I was there to support Mom!

There was Max, the cuddly minature pinscher of Jeff and Katie:

And of course I had to see the always cute Desmond Newby:

...until next time, SO LONG OKLAHOMA!!!

Jan. 18

tyson took his first self portrait today!!!

Cute hair!

This afternoon we went to the park where our friend Ryland takes his Karate Class. While Ryland took his class, we got to play in the playground with Georgia!

Mmmmm. Mac & Cheese dinner!

Another self-portrait.

Since he's been gone, Tyson and I have spent a lot of time having video calls. It was kind of weird talking to a computer screen at first, but now that we're use to it, it's really much nicer than just talking on the phone. I mean, look how cute he is!

Jan. 17

I didn't think it would be such a great birthday this year since Tyson was gonna be in Oklahoma and I was gonna be here, but things went well and it turned out to be a pretty decent day!

tyson slept in this morning so I actually had a chance to take a shower without constantly having to pull the shower curtain closed to keep him from throwing toys in at me...

We also had some fun at tyson's dance class with his friends Adrian and Simon. The green skirt is a dinosaur costume the boys wore when they did a special dinosaur dance during the class!

My friends Alice, Wendy, and Tom - and W&T's kids Ryland and Georgia - came over for dinner tonight. It was so nice to hang out with them and tyson was glad to have Ryland and Georgia to play with!

And, I got a super special birthday delivery from Tyson! He may not have been here, but he and my friends made me feel like the luckiest birthday girl in the world!

Jan. 16 - Hanging Out with Some Cute Toddlers!

This morning while tyson went over to Simon's house, mom did a little volunteer kid watching for the MOMS Club. My friend Mag was hosting one of the club's Tot Drops and the woman who was supposed to help her had to stay home with her sick son so I went to her house to assist. Usually I'd have brought tyson with me, but since he was already scheduled to play with Simon, I thought I'd keep him with his routine.

I had a fun time with the kids at Tot Drop playing with toys and pretending we were wild animals!

After I picked him up, tyson and I played with his trains, and then went out with Mag and her son Adrian to Montclair Park and ran around and watched the ducks!

Jan. 13,14,15...

Little t's been pretty sick the past few days so I haven't had a chance to post any pictures. Here are a bunch!

Favorite family sport = Hall Ball!

Since Tyson won't be in town on Weds, I got an early BD present! He's arranged a trip for the three of us on the first weekend of Feb. to Monterey to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium, do some letterboxing, and play like crazy at Dennis the Menace Playground!

We also went out to a celebratory dinner at the Kensington Circus Pub. It's a fun and super kid-friendly place - part of it looks more like a pre-school than a pub. The beer and food was good, too!

Then home for some dessert and silliness!

Before dinner, we went to look for new shoes for tyson. He tried on this lovely brown pair and found them so comfortable that he wouldn't put is old shoes back on! Well, we had to buy them so he'd have shoes on so they'd serve us at the restaurant! He loves them and we think they're pretty cute, too.

Today, due to a mis-set of the alarm clock, we didn't take Tyson to the airport for his trip to OKC until the afternoon. While it was stressful to get another flight arranged, it was nice to get to spend the morning together. We finally did have to take Pop to the airport. He'll be gone til Saturday and will be hanging out with his mom to offer her support and whatever help she might need this week while she's having knee-replacement surgery.

Later this afternoon - after we both took a snooze on the couch - tyson and I went for a little walk around the neighborhood...

In addition to nursing tyson back to health over the past few days, I've also been knitting up a Lucy Bag. After knitting it, I ran it through the washer a couple times to felt it, which makes it shrink up and become stronger!

This is the bag drying in the bathroom. When Tyson gets back, I'll get a pic of him holding it so we can compare its size to the first picture pre-felting.

And, here are some cute pictures of our favorite photo subject!

(Gotta work on getting him off the paci!)
