Sick & Tired of Being Sick & Tired

I can't believe how long we've been sick here! It seems to go on and on. Right now tyson and I are sick - some stomach virus of which I won't go into details. Tyson is well and I hope little t and I can join him in good health soon!

Here are some pics from moments of activity.

I've been doing some knitting lately - in particular some hats...

One for Tonia.

And, one for Georgia. The hat's on top of a matching scarf (she picked out the yarn).

tyson's been hitting the needles, too.

Here he's reading a flier from one of the trains he recently got. He reads it every day and likes it better than all his books right now - probably because of it's concentration of train pictures!

Here's the new bed I mentioned before. He's not really keen on it yet, but we're hoping he'll be use to it soon.

On Sunday (1/28) we took a fun trip down to San Mateo. Our destination was Talbot's Toyland. It was awesome! It was big with lots of TRAINS! tyson had a great time playing and we ended up buying him a battery-operated Thomas Train!

We also stopped for a cookie!

Here's the train in action.

Our friend, Chuck was up this week - these are a few pics from his camera.

So much for posting everyday...

But, I have been taking pics everyday and sharing them here!

1/25

Little t and I were havin' some fun with the camera. He's become quite the fan of pictures - especially taking self-portraits and then reviewing them on the display on the back of the camera!

tyson was also having a good time putting a flashlight in his mouth and shining it on his face - he's ready to tell some scary ghost stories now!

1/26

Little t and I hosted a "tot drop" at our house on Friday where moms from our group can leave their kids for a few hours and have a little time to themselves. Things went pretty well, but tyson has gotten a little more posessive with his toys and sharing was a bit of an issue. Overall, though, we had a fun time with the kids who came: Sierra, Nina, Zac, Theo, and Brody (Brody's mom, Anna, also came over to help out!)

1/27

We went to Ikea today to get a big boy bed for tyson (he's sleeping in it right now and I'll try to post some pictures of that tomorrow!).

Below is a picture of Tyson getting into the car and a picture of one of the weird graphics that are featured on various electric boxes, etc. throughout the city of Emeryville - that's where Ikea is and the city where Tyson works.

Welcome Home!

The last couple of days tyson and I did our best to keep busy as we waited for our main man to come back from his trip to Oklahoma City. (Luckily Grandma Betty's surgery went well and she's now working hard at physical therapy to get back on her feet.)

On Friday, we took a trip to Alameda with our friends Mag and Adrian. We did a little shopping, but had the most fun when we ended up at Washington Park!

After the park we headed home for some reading and a nap!

The next day I took tyson for his first (professional) haircut. We went to Snippety Crickets in Berkeley. Some friends had recommended it so we checked it out.

I don't think tyson really enjoyed having his hair cut, but he did a great job sitting still and he ended up looking real handsome!

We were super excited to pick up Tyson at the airport, but due to weather, things got delayed so he didn't come in til quite late. Fortunately our friends Tom, Wendy, Ryland and Georgia invited us over for some dinner and dancing (jumping around!).

We were tired, but happy when we finally got to sit down and relax with Poppy back home where we like him!

Today we went to Children's Fairyland in Oakland and coincidentally ran into our friends Mag and Adrian with their dad/husband, Carlo!
