It's 2007! Let's Go!

The year's started off on an active note... this morning we got up early, went for bagels and coffee (and juice), and headed out to Redwood Regional Park for some hiking and letterboxing.

We had a great time walking around and greeting all the doggies that were out with their humans today. It was a perfect day for a hike - nice and cool and sunny! We brought the hiking backpack for little tyson, but didn't need to use it as much as we thought we would. He walked and walked - and as long as he had a stick to slap at the ground with along the way, he seemed pretty happy. When we got to the hillier part of the trail we popped him in the pack and he had a great time riding along on poppy's back!

We picked up 2 letterboxes while we were out on the trail - one of them had a cute little orange newt under it. Hope we didn't make it too sad by disturbing it's resting place.

When we got home it was well past tyson's nap time, but he was full of energy and refused to slow down. After a 1/2 hour of trying, we decided to let him skip his nap today and he helped us take down the Christmas decorations instead. He especially liked climbing the step ladder and looked especially cute wearing his new pajamas!
